Fall in Oregon is the best of time of year, isn't it?!? Crisp mornings, beautiful sunny days, and we still have so many fruits and veggies available.
How many of you still have a ton of apples? Here is a fun way to use them!
Apple Crumb Apples
To start: 1.5 apples will make 1 final apple. We will do 2.
You need the following-
3 Apples
3 tbsp of butter
1 tsp of cinnamon
2 tbsp of sugar
1 bag of graham crackers
Step 1: Cut off top of apple and core it out. A spoon works best. Make sure to leave the bottom all together.
Step 2 & 3: Dice up what you cored out and 1 other apple, minus seeds and hard pieces. Put it in a pan with 1.5 tbsp of butter, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1 tbsp of sugar. .
Step 4: Saute until soft and caramelized.
Step 5: Crush up that bag of graham crackers. Take out some anger on them.
Step 6: Place cooked apple pieces and sauce in cored out apple. Let sit for a minute.
Step 7: Use remaining butter and sugar to mix with graham crumble. You will need to melt butter.
Step 8: Pack it on top of apples. Pack tight too!
Cook at 350F for about 5 minutes. To get a crispy golden top, broil for a few minutes.
Enjoy!
